Important Notice to all IPSC Three Gun and Multigun Shooters: At the September 2015 Council Meeting, following discussions with the 3Gun/Multi-gun Section Director, Council decided that: 3 Gun North Islands, South Island and Nationals - will be shot using the IPSC Grand Tournament rules from September 2015. This is to ensure that records can be set at these events under the same rules. Multi-gun - will be shot using the 3 Gun Nation rules. Note: there have been some minor amendments to these rules to meet the NZ RSO's conditions such as target changes.

IPSC 3 Gun Section Survey At the 2014 IPSC 3Gun Nationals, IPSC Grand Tournament Rules were used for the first time; these rules allow for a mix of firearms during the match. These were trialled in place of the rules used over the last few years which allowed for Open, Standard and Tactical divisions only.(Open Pistol/Shotgun/Rifle......Standard Pistol/Shotgun/Rifle.......etc). The 3 Gun Section is now looking to officially adopt either the older 3 Division rules or the newer IPSC Grand Tournament rules in all future Island and Nationals matches (As part of a set of PNZ IPSC 3Gun Guidelines) and would like to ask members who shoot IPSC 3Gun for their input to help decide

Dean Albiston of the Hamilton Pistol Club, has been elected as Pistol NZ's 3 Gun Section Director by Council this April 2015. This appointment will take effect the day after the 2015 3Gun Nationals.
