RAMBLINGS
August 2007
By Peter Payne, HMS Section Director

This is my last article to Bullshooter as I will not be standing next time as I have found over the last six to eight months I am
not putting enough effort into the job because of personal commitments. Over the four years I have been in office I have enjoyed meeting a lot of good
people and I enjoyed the chance of being on council and seeing how things work from the inside. I would like to thank everyone for making the job easy
and not making life hard for me it has been a memorable experience.

There have been no sanction matches since the last Bullshooter, the only shoots I know of are the club shoots at Tokoroa every third Saturday, which
is open to all PNZ members.

The last goal of my list of things to do is set up Silhouette Air Pistol at the HMS Nationals because of the amount of juniors that are showing interest
in Silhouette Shooting and also for seniors to shoot. This year at the Nationals in November I am hoping to have targets made up for a demonstration
match only, I will get the next HMS Director to add into his article whether it is all go.

If anyone is interested in buying a set of Silhouette Air Targets for their club or for themselves contact me on 07 882 8951 or
e-mail me by 28/08/07.

There is a correction for the HMS Oceania Team, Philip Dickson has had to withdraw from the team due to personal matters so the Team for all events Big
Bore, Small Bore and Field Pistol are Peter Sloane, Evan Sanders and Murray Templeton.

The first weekend of the winter series is over and the weather was up and down with Saturday being mild and wet in the afternoon and very cool on the
Sunday, there was eighteen shooters for the weekend and they shot ninety-one matches. Only one 40x40 was shot and that was by Rex Oulds in Big Bore
Unlimited Any Sight.

That's all for now safe shooting.
